Questions
Is there a contract?+
No. Pay monthly or yearly and cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
Do prices include GST?+
Yes. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. You get a tax invoice for every payment.
Is there a free trial?+
Better than that for now: during early access every feature is free. When paid plans start, new users get 14 days of Pro with no card needed, and founding members get 50% off.
Are there limits on jobs or users?+
Not on any paid plan. Every paid plan has unlimited jobs and unlimited users, so you never get bumped up a plan because you had a busy month or hired an apprentice. The Free plan is 1 user and 30 jobs a month.
What do card payments cost?+
Your customers pay by card through Stripe at Stripe's standard rate, taken from each payment. SparkyBuddy adds nothing on top, on every plan. Card surcharges for Visa, Mastercard and eftpos aren't allowed in Australia from 1 October 2026, so build the fee into your prices.
Do you have a referral offer?+
Yes. Every business gets its own link under Settings → Refer a sparky. Your mate gets 50% off their first 3 months, and you get a free month for every mate who becomes a paying customer, up to 12 free months a year.
What's Enterprise?+
For larger contractors running several crews. Everything in Business, plus we move your data across, set you up, and give you a named account manager and priority support. Pricing depends on your business, so get in touch.
Is there an app?+
Yes, without the app store. Sign in on your phone, then add SparkyBuddy to your home screen (Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone, Install app on Android). It opens full screen from its own icon and updates itself.
Can I get my data out?+
Any time. Export your clients, jobs, quotes and invoices to a spreadsheet from Settings. It's your data.
I'm using another app. How hard is it to switch?+
Export your clients to a spreadsheet and import them into SparkyBuddy in a few minutes. If you get stuck, we'll set you up for free.
What does "Coming soon" mean?+
It's on the build list but not in the app yet. We only list a feature as included once you can use it.
