Technical guidance

Max AI and SparkyBuddy's calculators provide general guidance on electrical rules and standards for licensed electrical workers. They are not a substitute for the current edition of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008 or other applicable standards, state legislation, or your network's service rules. Always verify answers against the source documents before relying on them. Responsibility for design, installation, testing and compliance remains with the licensed electrical worker carrying out the work.

SparkyBuddy does not reproduce the text of Australian Standards. Where a clause is referred to, check it in your own copy of the standard.

Not for DIY electrical work

In Australia, electrical work must be done by a licensed electrical worker. SparkyBuddy does not give instructions for unlicensed people to do electrical work.
